Childhood Dreams

We all had dreams as a child. I had a number of them myself and from what I can remember, I wanted to be: an astronaut, a scientist, a cartoonist, a pro skater, a Power Ranger.. But none of these seemed silly to me at the time; I thought that anything was in my grasp, but only because my mom said that I could be anything I wanted. She also told me that I should find a job I love and the money will follow, and also to just keep on smiling. Yet did I know that these two things were strong tips on how to live life. I'm glad I took her advice because when I saw the list for the BFA with my name on it, an overwhelming feeling ran through my body. The feeling was nothing like getting a new laptop, shopping with no limit, eating the best dessert, getting an A on a test, or even winning a poker game. NO. This was the feeling that Chris Gardner felt when he found out that he got hired. He followed his passion with a positive attitude, despite his hardships, and that got him to the top.

So what made me write this? No, I'm not emo dunny! I came across Randy Pausch on YouTube, a professor who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. In his last months to live, he's toured the country and gave his "last lecture" to thousands of people. This guy's such an inspiration, and I thought that I would share it with those who haven't heard it.

"You will not find that passion in things or money because the more things and the more money you have, the more you will use that as the metric; and there will always be someone with more, so your passion must come from the things that fuel you from the inside."

RIP Randy

Passed away July 25, 2008 (yesterday)

It's funny because I've always said to myself, "Just do what you do, and one day, we'll all come up." Coming up, not meaning rich with money necessarily, but rich with value. Value in friends, education, and happiness. I don't really worry about all the smaller things in between, that's why I'm going to VEGAS! LMAO. Everything will work out later on, but for now, have fun! Smile.

The Dark Knight

WOW, just wow. Great story, awesome performance, had the whole shabang. Heath really had the last laugh!

Sunday Sunday Sunday !!

So last night we threw a party for one of my best friends, JENNA! And what a night it was, 5 can beer pong, jungle juice, and friends galore. But now, it's Sunday and still tired from last night's events. So, my day consisted of waking up, going back to sleep, waking up, laying in bed, eat, more laying in bed, clean a little, and watch/listen to stuff on the comp. Browsing around YouTube, I came across HappySlip's channel and also KevJumba's, and watching their vids made up the other half of my day since I still can't find the remote.. Anyways, these guy are pretty funny and kept me entertained with topics about being tagged, dance battles, and weird questions like, would you rather get a blow job from Charmander or a hand job by Geo Dude, HILARIOUS. These guys almost inspired me to start a vid blog, but I think all people will see is just a shadow moving around, so I'll stick to this written blog stuff. So if you're bored like me one day, check these guys out!
